BALI PASS - An Expedition Level Grand Crossover Trail. ( Not For Beginners of High Altitude )

Bali Pass is a trek of high adrenaline adventure , for experienced trekkers, as this trek almost gives you glimpse of expedition level thrill. Definitely not for beginners in high altitude, as this crossover trek from Har ki Dun Valley to sources of Yamuna river needs experience for everyone walking the grand trail. 
The views are out of the next level , as we pass through ancient villages, alpine lakes, meadows, boulder zone and incefields as vast as no end to its horizon. If you are a trekker who has previous trekking experience and now want to indulge in more grand views and exhilarating trails, Bali Pass at 16200 feet is the call of the hour.

THE PLAN - 
​

BASECAMP-  SANKRI , UTTARAKHAND.
DATES -   MAY - JUNE . Fixed Batch departure on 6 June.
( If you have 5 people or more , you can choose your own dates. )


Day 01: Dehradun to Sankri
•\tAltitude: 1,950m/6,400ft (Sankri).
•\t220 km drive - approx 10 hours.
•\tPick up time 06.00 am at the parking of Dehradun railway station.
•\tExpected arrival time to Sankri – 5:00 pm.
•\tKeep original and copy of ID proof handy, have to show at the forest check post of Sankri.
•\tAvailable network BSNL (erratic).
•\tBreakfast and lunch on the way (not included in the cost).
•\tAfter Pulora keep a warm jacket handy.
•\tLocal Market is available.
•\tFull functioning AMT at Pulora.
•\tSankari is the last road head to the Govind Balabh Pant Wildlife Sanctuary.
•\tDinner at guest house (included in the cost).
•\tStay in Guest House (twin or triple sharing).

Day 02: Sankri to Seema via Taluka
•\tAltitude: 2,600m/8,500ft (Seema) and 2,100m/6,700ft (Taluka).
•\tAltitude difference: 650m/2,100ft.
•\tSankri to Taluka drive 12km, 1 hour.
•\tTaluka to Seema trek 12km, 7-8 hours.
•\tMost of the trail is gradual ascent.
•\tWalk though the Supin River.
•\tTrek is in the forest of Deodar trees, Bamboo, wild roses, irises and chestnut.
•\tEnough source of water on the way.
•\tOsla village is opposite to Seema.
•\tPacked lunch on the way.
•\tStay in tent (Twin sharing).

Day 03: Seema to Rainbasera
•\tAltitude: 3,100m/10,200ft.
•\tAltitude difference: 500m/1,700ft.
•\tTrek: 10km, 6-7 hours.
•\tModerate to difficult ascent and descent.
•\tCan see the confluence of Har Ki Dun and Ruinsara rivers.
•\tmagnificent view of Black Peak (Kala Nag) from Debshu Bugyal.
•\tTrek along with the Ruinsara river.
•\tMixed scenery of forest, meadows and boulders.
•\tEnough source of water.
•\tPacked lunch for the day.
•\tStay in tent.

Day 04: Rainbasera to Ruinsara Tal
•\tAltitude: 3,600m/11,800ft (Ruinsara Tal).
•\tAltitude difference: 500m/1,700ft.
•\tTrek: 7 km, 4-5 hours.
•\tModerate ascent.
•\tRuinsara lake is surrounded by meadows and rhododendron bushes.
•\tMixed trail of boulders and meadows.
•\tCan see waterfall on the way.
•\tEnough source of water.
•\tView from camp site: Yamuna Kanta (the pass which takes you to Yamunotri), Banderpooch Peak, Dhumdhar Kandi Black Peak (Kala Nag) and White Peak.
•\tPacked lunch on the way and light lunch at camp site.
•\tCamping near by the lake.
•\tStay in tent.

Day 05: Ruinsara Tal to Odari
•\tAltitude: 4,000m/13,100ft.
•\tAltitude difference: 400m/1,300ft.
•\tTrek: 4km, 3-4 hours.
•\tPeaks: Swargarohini.
•\tSteep and gradual mixed ascent.
•\tLimited source of water.
•\tRiver crossing by making human chain.
•\tOdari means a naturally made rock cave.
•\tit is believed that Bali (Hanuman's brother) stayed in Odari for one night.
•\tHot lunch at the camp site.
•\tStay in tent.

Day 06: Odari to Bali col camp
•\tAltitude: 4,600m/15,100ft.
•\tAltitude difference: 600m/2,000ft.
•\tTrek: 5 km, 6-7 hours.
•\tSteep and technical ascent .
•\twalk on a mountain ridge.
•\tNo source of water.
•\tPacked lunch on the way and lite lunch at camp site.
•\tStay in tent.

Day 07: Bali col cmap to Lower Dhamni via Bali Pass
•\tAltitude: Bali Pass 4,950m/16,200ft, Lowar Dhamni 3,400m/11,100ft.
•\tAltitude difference: -1,200m/4,000ft.
•\tTrek: 14km, 10-11 hours.
•\tSteep and technical ascent of 1-1.5 hours till the Bali Pass.
•\tSummit View: Bandarpoonch, Kalanag (Black Peak), Ruinsara and Yamuntori side, logical route to Saptarishikund.
•\tAfter Bali pass, half of the trek is technical descent.
•\tAlways stay with Trek Leader or Guide because the route after the pass is confusing.
•\tPacked lunch on the way.
•\tCarry enough water from your camp site (Bali col).
•\tStay in tent.

Day 08: Lower Dhamni to Jaan ki Chatti and drive to Dehradun
•\tAltitude: 2,600m/8,500ft. (Jaan ki Chatti)
•\tAltitude difference: 800m/2600ft.
•\tTrek: 8km, 4-5 hours.
•\tEasy and well-defined trail.
•\tEnough source of water.
•\tPacked Lunch for the trek.
•\t170km, 7hours drive.
•\tYou will be dropped at Dehradun station in a Tata Sumo or a similar vehicle.
•\tDrop to Dehradun is included in the cost.
•\tLunch on the way (not included in the cost).
•\tDriving time to Dehradun may increase due to of heavy traffic. Make your further travel plane from Dehradun after 8:00 pm.
