Har - Ki - Doon Trek -- The Valley of Gods ( Uttarakhand )

The Har Ki Dun trek is one of the most sought-after treks in the Garhwal Himalayas. The valley of Har-ki-Dun is located at the base of Fateh Parvat, at an altitude of 3,556 meters. The valley is surrounded by dense Pine forests and offers amphitheater views of mountains such as Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, and Black peak. This deserted piece of land is a paradise for flora and fauna lovers. Black bear, Langoors and wild boars are native inhabitants in the region.  GiveN its beauty and moderate difficulty level, this is an ideal trek for experienced as well as novice trekkers.
It's a delightful experience when you're camping near the flowing river, the forest here is rich in flora and fauna which has an engaging vibe of its own. You are able to see Swargarohini – I, II, III, Bandarpoonch, and Blackpeak from here. The Har Ki Dun trail takes you through some of the ancient villages that are 2,000 years old. It gives you an insight into the lives of the locals who are residing here in the valley. This trek is heaven for nature lovers, adventure seekers and also shutterbugs. THE PLAN -

DAY 1 - REACH SANKRI BY EVENING. WELCOME TO HOMESTAY IN BASE CAMP AND BRIEFING FOR THE TREK. EXPLORE SANKRI VILLAGE AND OVERNIGHT HERE IN 7000 FEET.

DAY 2 - TREK STARTS AFTER BREAKFAST. DRIVE TO TALUKA, AND THEN TREK TO PAUNI GARAAT CAMPSITE. 6 HOURS FOR 9 KMS TREK. OVERNIGHT HERE IN 8200 FEET.

DAY 3 - AFTER BREAKFAST TREK STARTS TO KALKATIYADHAAR. STEEP ASCENT TODAY. OVERNIGHT CAMPING AT KALKATIYADHAAR AT 10000 FEET. SIX HOURS OF TREKKING FOR 8 KMS.

DAY 4 - AFTER BREAKFAST , EXCURSION TO HAR KI DOON VALLEY FROM KALKATIYADHAR AND BACK BY LATE EVENING. PACKED LUNCH FOR THE WAY. ENJOY THE MIGHTY PEAK VIEWS OF SWARGAROHINI, BANDERPUNCH AND BLACK PEAK. 10 KMS OF TOTAL UP AND DOWN , 8 HOURS OF EXCURSION. BEST DAY OF THE TREK FOR VIEWS. BACK TO KALKATIYADHAAR TO STAY OVERNIGHT.

DAY 5 - KALKATIYADHAAR TO GAURI POONAT & CAMPING HERE. DESCEND OF 8 KMS, OVERNIGHT IN CAMPING HERE.

DAY 6 - FROM GAURI POONAT TO TALUKA TREK. DRIVE FROM HERE TO SANKRI. TREK ENDS. FINAL NIGHT PARTY THE ACCOMPLISHMENT.

DAY 7 - Sankri to Dehradun Drop by afternoon 4 p.m Go back with smiles and memories.
