Situated just 45 kilometres from Rudraprayag town, this village is ideal for everyone who wants to beat the rush in enjoying the Himalayas. The backdrop of the village is ornamented by the famous Mount Chaukhamba , and nature is abundant all around. One can easily see the beautiful farmlands where locals work and play, and walk in them. 
The topping on the ice is the Kartik Swamy temple here, which gives a panaromic view of Himalayas. 22 eminent peaks such as Trishul , Nanda devi , Chaukhamba , Bhagirath , Kedarnath and etc are all visible on a clear day. The best time to enjoy this is sunrise on sunset. This is ideal for landscape photographers and others, since its very less crowded, as it is not known much.
