LADAKH - A traveler's personal perspective

I had heard from the best of travelers that ladakh is aplace where a solo sojourn is the pre requisite to state you had an awesome life , now that I have done it , I shall support the fact. Ladakh of all places is a personification of truth , of life , of problems and of the paradoxes we tend to understand and fail with futile energy. 
A solo trip to ladakh is more spiritual than just a adventure trip. It took me 23 years of my time here on Earth to debut in this region where heaven and hell collides , but yet was surely worth waiting for. What I unearthed can not be written even in a whole novel yet I try to put some basic important ideas I found on my run.

​The places in ladakh are so hostile it is truly believed that only the worst of enemies and best of friends can visit the land. The travelers are surely put to test if you take the leh manali highway , the most dangerous highway in the world. Settlements as far as 70kms from each other , nothing , just nothing between them except for god forbidden cold dusty desert. Your health is tested by the mighty passes you cross over , snow , wind , bitter chill , waterless and scorching sun all form a team to put your mind to test. The road to enlightenment , must have had such thorns when lord buddha walked upon it. I guess this part personifies the life of a human. No matter what you do you will be facing stress , even if you do what you love!!! You got to continue to prove your worth not to anybody but to life itself , that you are capable of the journey , take in all that's tough and rough and still go on , like you do on the highway. At the end of it LEH , the ever waiting Leh !!! Where people want to reach but only few truly achieve. Most of their bodies do come , but mind and soul I doubt. Same thing as life , we run for somethings to achieve, but when we finally achieve it most of us has lost a great part of our soul and mind in the process to do so. Only few achieve it and yet enjoy and savor the prize.

Ladakh reflects the truth to me in the most efficient way. I found ladakh barren , no plants or grasses. Only soiled territories , not a single drop of water or of life at stretches yet the vibrance and the diversity is beautiful. It is a vignette of all that is raw and barren , but in its most awkwardness it shows its beauty. Truth too , always has been such , don't you think ?? Truth is raw , it is emotionless hence lifeless , just like ladakh. It is barren and lonely. Whenever a man is truthful he will find himself alone in this society where lies form the comfort. Ladakh too is lonely , places so god forbidden , as is truth. But may be truth is barren , tough , emotionless , lifeless yet it has its vibrance and all that is true is eternaly beautiful and such is ladakh too.

Ladakh is a paradox , for one hand everyone is asked to go see it solo to truly understand the spirituality of it , but on the other hand , such beauty and joy of beholding such , should not be drank alone. It is not possible also to take in whatever is of ladakh , to be taken by just a single mind , soul or heart. Such beauty deserves the happiness to witness it to be shared , to be distributed and to be valued with the close ones you might hold dear. Maybe , in this journey of a solo soul , one finally understands and gives more values to other souls that are attached to it in this journey of life. Hence , paradox is ladakh is a place where one must have a benevolent to share and exclaim the excitement of witnessing it , yet , you must visit it alone to understand all this!!!!

May be as I ventured alone here , I found so deep meaning of the land , where heaven and hell meets , for it is mixture of pain and joy both in balance , existing and eternally engulfing....

For more years I shall visit it and somewhere down the line like Lord Buddha  hope to find enlightenment.
